Wake Forest Alum Wins Entrepreneurship Award

Deepa Pakianathan, a partner at Delphi Ventures and a Wake Forest University alumnus, was recently named the 2012 recipient of the Excellence in Entrepreneurship award from the Center for Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship.

Pakianathan, who leads biotechnology investment activities at Delphi, received her M.S. from Wake Forest, and later, a Ph.D. in immunology. She credits the scientific research she learned in biology professor Ray Kuhn’s lab for her success. “You have to be a true visionary," she adds. "It’s something that has to come from within."
Delphi is focused on early stage health care investing, including medical devices and diagnostics, biotechnology, and healthcare services companies.
